Awakening

O, what glorious bliss adorned our paths,
When we started out on this journey,
O how lovely it was to walk in the glory of God,
For His power and presence was evident for all to see
And in those days, the hearts of men was not lifted up to vain things,

But as time passed and generations unfolded,
We your people have grown lukewarm,
We’ve grown wary and wandered far from you,
We hardly seek your face any more,
Your church now cares less about your will,

And so a famine lingers in the land,
A famine of truth, a famine of light,
O how we’ve wandered,
How we’ve left our first love.
O how we’ve turned our backs on you

Yet in our sleep, in our slumber,
You are set to cause a return,
You are set to bring us back home,
Back to the foot of the cross, back to truth

His trumpet is blown in the heavens and our journey begins,
The Lord’s assembly is called, his army emerges
We are taking all of creation back to Him.
We are the donkey, the ass upon which he rides
For He gives strength, He gives grace

Therefore, arise, shine, and be thou awakened,
His risen glory dispels the darkness upon the earth
Again I say, arise, shine and be thou awakened
For revival is here, judgment dawns upon us,
And we emerge from the refiner’s fire

Awake ye watchmen
Awake ye intercessors
Awake ye sons, awake ye daughters,
Awake ye priests of the most high

The prayer of our hearts this day is that you prepare us
Is that you strengthen us
Is that you equip us and make us ready
Give us your eyes O’ lord
And rekindle our passion for Jesus,

O lord, will You visit us again, for we wait
We wait for the sovereign move of your spirit,
We so desperately need,
May we all find our unique roles
In all that is ahead of us.

I see an army,
It is the army of the Lord, and it rises,
Emerging from the silence,
Emerging from obscurity,
Like a thunderstorm, it begins with one

You are the Lord’s army
And it’s time to possess this land
This army shall consume all in its path
This army devours, this army conquers
And God is riding at the helm of His army

Faithful servants arise
Willing servants arise
Sons and daughters of the most high, arise!
For you are God’s emerging army
Desperate times are upon us

O’ lord stir up in us life and death prayers,
Flood us with gifts of repentance,
We yearn for supernatural surprises,
Teach us to serve selflessly
Once again, revive discipleship in our midst.

Heal the breaches in our walk with You
We confess apathy, indifference, Lukewarmness, lackluster,
Breathe upon us,
The spirit of patience, the spirit of waiting

We want to offer You the fast You have ordained
Bring forth the unity of the saints
Come back to Your church
Restore the church,
To be the tent of meeting as in the days of Moses,
And as in the days of Solomon

O’ give thanks unto the Lord
Call upon His name
And make His deeds known amongst His people
Shed truth and let it break the chains of darkness
We are the body, we are His instruments
We shine the light in this dark and perverse world.
For when this church is awakened, the lost will be revived! Praise God!
